To mark the publication of his new book “The Beauty and the Horror”, Richard Harries (writer, broadcaster, bishop and member of the House of Lords) will be debating its themes with John Humphrys (broadcaster and presenter of the Today programme) on Thursday 27th October at 8pm at St Mary’s Barnes.
Life is at once wonderful and appalling, beautiful and horrific. Can we really believe that there is a wise and loving creator behind it? Drawing on a wide range of modern literature, the book faces the toughest questions and offers a robust defence of central Christian beliefs. At this event, Richard Harries will debate these questions with John Humphrys followed by book signing and drinks.
